Further, second section exhaustively deals with implications of poverty on global environment as well as on local level. In this section, argumentative approach is taken regarding what poverty literally means to global environment as well as to local one. Finally, this paper ends up with a detailed Globalized world has a logical association with local issues because, local issues profoundly influence global environment. In this highly globalized world local problems become international and international concerns have implications on local level so, there is strong relationship between global environment and local issues. These issues include many things such as: concerns relating to environmentalists, third world countries, and critics of capitalism, business organizations and trade unions of rich countries. Further, health issues, labor rights, cultural issues and issues of national integrity also have nexus with international environment. International arena is more concerned with dealing with these problems as they pose threat to unification of the world driven by communication, transportation and information technology. International scenario is concerned with issues of environmentalists because global world does not seem to have same environmental conditions across the globe. Further, global warming which has serious implications for some countries, but has a sunny side for others, has seriously affected globalization process. In this connection, world

Civil wars in America really boosted the growth of nursing profession while the first and second world wars made nursing profession even more notable. According to Baillie, (2008, 24)), nurse has many roles to play in the hospital because, besides taking care of the patient, he or she has to console the family members and friends. Taco Bells Success Essay -- Business Management Studies Essays
Taco Bell's Success Did Taco Bellââ¬â¢s success result from a top down or bottom-up approach to change? What situations drove this change, and what leadership approach did John Martin use? What was the old (previous) leadership style and what was its limitation? â⬠¢ Taco Bellââ¬â¢s success resulted from a top down approach to change. Along with the new organizational structure came the job position of Market Manager. Management added this new position to send a strong signal that they wanted different behavior. They wanted people to be broader managers, good at managing P & L, to be decisive and to take ownership. The Market Managers had a lot of responsibility because management had pushed down a large deal of decision making. â⬠¢ One of the situations that spurred this change is the notion of self sufficiency or the fact that a restaurant can operate by itself. John Martin knew this had to be done because there were 1500 Taco Bell restaurants and it is too much extra work to have to constantly monitor all of them. Management realized that they needed new production techniques to serve customers more efficiently. They also knew that they need new training and development methods to be more competitive and to have more uniformity in the products they were serving. Management also knew that they needed to install Operational Information Systems in all of the restaurants in order to keep up with their competitors. These are just a few of the many factors that drove the change of Taco Bell. â⬠¢ John Martin introduced the democratic style of leadership to the Taco Bell chain. John Martin acted as a leader who involved his employees in the decision making process and delegated a great deal of authority to lower level positions. In addition, Martin encouraged participation in deciding work methods and goals and used feedback to coach his employees. â⬠¢ The laissez-faire style of leadership that had been previously used at the Taco Bell restaurants. This means that the leader gave his employees a great deal of freedom to make decisions and to decide on work methods. The limitation of this method was that employees had too much freedom and were not working to their full potential. In addition, this method failed because all of the restaurants were operating differently which hurt the organization as a whole. 2) Was change increment... ...ustry.â⬠â⬠¢ RM had ââ¬Å"reports on food cost, labor cost, inventory, perishable items and period to date costs, all with variancesâ⬠due to the ATCO system. â⬠¢ ââ¬Å"Pods were part of the companyââ¬â¢s strategy for reaching a ââ¬Ëpoint of distributionââ¬â¢ to Market Manager span of 60 to 1. Executives believed that 30 to 1 (restaurants to MM) was within reach. If each restaurant added a pod, 60 to 1 would be achieved.â⬠9/10) Visit a Taco Bell virtual and/or electronic-provide an up to date outlook based on Structure, Technology, and People as a framework for your response. â⬠¢ The structure of the store has changed since the ââ¬Å"old-ways.â⬠It used to be the food-preparers had their backs to the customer. Now the food-preparation station is perpendicular to the customers â⬠¢ Customers can now see how the workers are making their items. â⬠¢ The cooking of the food is behind that preparation station. â⬠¢ The cash registers are now computers. They are touch-screen monitors for the employee to enter in the order. The order is then sent to the preparation station where it is placed in queue. The restaurant manager is visible. The RM is doing something, either making food or taking orders.

Human Relations Case Study Essay
1. Personality is a relatively stable set of traits that aids in explaining and predicting individual behavior. What are some of Mark Cubanââ¬â¢s traits that can explain his behavior during Maverick games? You have to excuse me for sounding naive but I had no idea who Mark Cuban was! After reading about him, Iââ¬â¢m not sure I like him. I find his behavior ridiculous and childish from the outside looking in. Only when I began to read about his business savvy did I find Mr. Cuban tolerable. I find that he is a fan/owner but still an owner and he must be a hard worker because you donââ¬â¢t just fall into a position of that caliber. I think he poses a very driven and determined personality and Mark was quoted on Forbes.com as saying the key personality trait that lead to his success is ââ¬Å"I worked hard and smarter than most people in the business I have been inâ⬠. To me this sound arrogant but it works for him! Therefore, because Mark Cuban believes in himself he can act out as a eccentric fan because he doesnââ¬â¢t seem to mind the money or the respect it costs him. 2. Would you describe Mark Cuban as a Type A or Type B personality type? I would say that Mark Cuban is 100% type A. Some of the key characteristics that lead me to believe this is that most type Aââ¬â¢s have a exaggerated sense of time making everything they do feel very urgent. I can see this in Mr. Cuban and it makes more sense when heââ¬â¢s jumping around and screaming because the event that he loves is a timed sport. Also, type A personalities tend to be very competitive, and see everything as a challenge which Mark shows at every game! 3. Why is Mark Cuban described as someone with an internal locus of control? Someone with an internal locus of control believes that outcomes are determined by their performance, they like to control every aspect of their life. I can see where a self motivated and well educated person such as Mark may be described as a ââ¬Å"control freakâ⬠. 4. The Big Five Model of Personality categorizes traits into the dimensions of surgency, agreeableness, adjustment, conscientiousness, and openness to experience. Which of these dimensions are strongest or clearly evident in Mark Cubanââ¬â¢s personality? I would say that the strongest traits that I was able to decipher would be conscientiousness because I think that any business man of Mark Cubans caliber would have to be both efficient and organized in order to be successful. Another trait would be surgency, Any You Tube video of a Mavericks game will show Mark jumping out of his seat for the whole game leading me to believe that he is both outgoing and obviously far more energetic than myself! 5. Is Mark Cuban projecting a positive or negative image with his eccentric behavior during Maverick games? I instantly thought Mark Cuban was a over the top jerk and he gave me a negative feeling. Being a type A personality I can see where someone may assume that he wouldnââ¬â¢t be my type of people, however I feel that itââ¬â¢s deeper than that. I tend to shy away from look at me people and I feel that he is intentionally putting on a ââ¬Å"showâ⬠. There is a part of me that has to respect a hard working business man like Cuban but the way he displays his emotions is atrocious. I can also see how this behavior is a unique business move, making fans either die hard lovers or completely hate the Mavericks. 6. Mark Cuban has had a lot of disagreements with the NBA Commissioner that have resulted in fines totaling almost a million dollars. Each incident brings a lot of publicity to the team and Cuban himself; most of it negative. Chapter 1 discusses three alternatives for resolving human relations problems ââ¬â change the other person, change the situation or change yourself. Which approach or combination of approaches will you recommend for Mark Cuban and why? I think that in most situations a combination approach works well and I would tell Mark that in order to avoid all these fines, and turn them into fans you need to change yourself. I would say that heââ¬â¢s going to have to acknowledge the way heââ¬â¢s behaving and want to change for himself. If Mr. Cuban canââ¬â¢t control his out-burst then maybe itââ¬â¢s time he admits he has a problem and can no longer attend the games therefore changing the situation.
